laura’s sweaters
laura reached out needing mends on two sweaters. the first one was a cardigan which had been her mom’s, but had stain damage on the sleeve. laura sent a photo of the stain and i proposed covering it with a floral design. when she came to drop off the items, we went over some thread colours that could work and made some choices for what looked best. i sent laura some examples of florals which would work to cover the stain, and she liked this one best.
there was also a smaller stain near the hem, and with laura’s permission, i added a flower there too.
laura’s other sweater had a simple dropped stitch in the sleeve. she wanted something that was a similar colour and swiss darning fit really well for this mend. it was really simple and came together quite nicely.
